An immersive photography reset for family photographers
who already know how to shoot — and want to shoot differently.
This retreat is not for photographers who are learning to hold a camera. It is for photographers who hold a camera every week — and somewhere along the way, stopped surprising themselves.
You built a business. You have returning clients. You have a workflow that works. But creative stagnation doesn't care about your booking calendar. You feel it anyway.
InSight. Family is a 7-day reset designed specifically for working family photographers who are ready to break their own visual patterns — through daily model sessions, professional studio lighting, raw Atlantic landscapes, and real-time creative feedback.
Not a course. Not a workshop.
A creative breakthrough, structured.
Madeira is not a backdrop. It is volcanic, subtropical, oceanic — a landscape that does not forgive passive looking. The light here is unlike anything you've worked in. The Atlantic horizon at 6am. The black sand and green cliffs. The laurel forest where fog moves like a living thing. You will not shoot the same way you arrived.
Golden hour outdoor session. Natural light, real locations, professional model. You direct. You experiment. No safety net, no template. Just you and the frame you build.
Studio lighting session. Strobes, modifiers, intentional setups. You learn what you don't know about light by working with it — not watching someone else use it.
Portfolio review and group feedback. What worked, what didn't, why. Real conversation about real images. The kind of critique that moves you forward — not polite applause.
And you have 7 of them.
Everything except your flight to Madeira.
The 1:1 session is not a coaching call. It is a direct conversation about your specific work, your specific block, and the specific next step for your career as a photographer.
Payment plan available. 50% deposit to confirm your spot, remainder 60 days before the retreat. Early bird pricing available for the first 2 confirmed applications.
"I didn't create this retreat to teach you photography.
I created it to give you the conditions to discover
what you already know — but stopped using."
Iryna Vereskun is a Ukrainian photographer based in Madeira, Portugal. Co-founder of Stelmakh Studio, she built her career across television production, editorial and portrait photography before rebuilding her practice entirely — after the war in Ukraine forced her to start over in a new country, in a new language, with nothing except her eye and her camera.
She studied under fashion photographer Rudy Arias and has worked in production with Shutterfly, gaining commercial-level experience in photography workflows and systems. She has shot across Ukraine, the United States and Portugal, and now works from Madeira — where the light, the landscape and the isolation have shaped a very specific way of seeing the world.
She is not interested in giving you a formula. She is interested in breaking the one you already have.
A private villa in Madeira. A fully equipped studio on site. Professional lighting you direct from day one. This is not a hotel conference room — it is a working creative space designed around one purpose: your photography.
Professional models every day. Five locations you will not find on Google. Studio sessions with light you control completely. Atlantic coast, volcanic cliffs, laurel forest, whitewashed walls. Madeira does not repeat itself — and neither will your portfolio.
Applications are reviewed personally. Not everyone is accepted.
